11/21/21 - Countercultural mission and rooted in truth

Good morning friends!! 

This past week in our intergenerational Sunday School class we spent some more time in discussion surrounding ways that we can improve relationships across generations by focusing less on ourselves, and more on our calling. I have been loving some of the feedback from the class, and I can't wait to implement some of the ideas that have been brought forward! 

In youth group we heard from Fiona Boerman! She reminded us of who God says we are, and led us through an affirmation activity. It's easy to listen to the voices that tell us we are no good, or not good enough, and it was a welcome reminder of who God says we are and a beautiful time of blessing one another. If your student is willing to share some of the things written on their papers from Sunday night, it might be a really cool opportunity to call out some of the things you also see as true of them! 

We will not have programming next week, as we will be on Thanksgiving break! I'll see you all here in two weeks time!! Thanks for stopping by!
