This week in Sunday school, we jumped straight into what being Reformed means, and some of the things that set us apart from other denominations. It was a lot of information really fast, but I hope your student was able to absorb some of it. Huge thanks to Dan Ackerman for taking some time to be there and clarify  some of our questions! 

IMPACT was great as well! Our fellowship feels just as natural as it did last year, and our freshmen are acclimating super well! As for how my testimony went, I can't really say. Testimonies are one of those things that are super hard to judge the impact of in the moment.

Happy Wednesday parents! 

This past week was more of an introduction week than a teaching week, but we are about to get right into the swing of things! 

In Sunday school, we are going to continue our conversation about Reformed theology, starting at what the Reformation even was! Ask your tiny humans to show you the chart they will be receiving, it might even be fun for you to see! 

During IMPACT, we are going to hear my testimony again. I mean it when I say that all are welcome to come and hear. This past year testimonies have had a huge impact (hah) on our students and the relationships they have formed with their leaders. 

I'm going to get into the habit of attaching a calendar to the bottom of these posts that will keep you in the loop as to what we are talking about. Just click the title to see it!

Good morning!

As we head into the program year, I thought I would update you all on the topics we hope to cover this year! 

During Sunday school last year, we went through a book called "Can I Ask That?" and it went unbelievably well. This year, we hope to finish the last two topics in that book, "Does God endorse violence?" and "How can I follow a God who lets Christians do such bad things?" Before we jump into that though, we will be talking briefly about reformed theology and what sets our tradition apart from the others in our area. 

After both of those things wrap up, we are excited to move into "Can I Ask That Vol. 2" and engage some more tough questions! I will keep the topics current on our schedule information page, but some topics will undoubtedly take longer than others, so planning a couple weeks out is rather hard! 

As for IMPACT, we are hoping to start this year by sharing some leader testimonies! I will be going first, followed by some of our new volunteer leaders. After that, we plan on moving into a curriculum called "Deep Discipleship" which will allow us to continue to grow our students faith foundations, while also staying accessible to those who may not yet believe.
