As the school year winds to and end I want you to be aware of the summer events we have planned! Current 5th-8th grade students are invited to attend these events!
Coming up on June 2, there is an outdoor music and movie night in Grand Haven. There will be some bucket drumming that students can participate in before the movie and then we will enjoy Toy Story under the stars! We will take a bus, leaving at 7:30 and returning back around 11:30. There is no cost!! If your student is signed up for summer camp at Timber Wolf Lake, we are running a fundraiser at Fuzzy Peach on June 6. If your student participates, they will get a portion of the sales from the night. Spread the word, tell everyone you know, to come eat some froyo on June 6 from 7-9pm!! Thursday, June 22, we are heading to Sky Zone in Grand Rapids for an hour and a half of jumping! (Note date change from Wednesday to Thursday). Cost is $10, which includes transportation, 1.5 hours of jumping and free socks! We will leave church at 5:30pm and arrive back at 9pm. On July 12 we are taking our annual trip to Michigan's Adventure! We will leave at 9:30am and arrive back at church at 8:30. If you are interested in chaperoning, please send me an email! christy@frcz.orgThe cost for this trip is $30 which covers transportation and a ticket to the park. We have our final day of Sunday School this Sunday! The 5th and 6th grade students have been learning about Jesus early life and his ministry this semester. They will be celebrating the semester by watching Heaven Is For Real this Sunday. In order to watch the whole movie, students are invited to arrive at 9:00 to begin the movie. The 7th and 8th graders have been learning about our New Testament ancestors this semester and will wrap up the semester with Jeopardy!
8th graders are invited to join High School Youth Group this Sunday from 4:30-6 in the youth center! This is a chance for the 8th graders to spend time with the new leaders and the high school students to help them as they transition next year. We hope they can make it! |
