We're back to a typical Wednesday night this week and will be looking at the checkpoint 'Others First'. We will talk about why it is hard to think of others before ourselves and even harder to put others before our selves. We will use Philippians 2:3-11 to look at how Jesus treated others and how we are called to follow his example. We will ask students to think about where their priorities are at and how we can make small shifts in our everyday lives to put others first. You can talk with your student about why it's hard not to be selfish and encourage them to pick one area where they can put someone else's interests above their own (it may even be with a sibling!)
Next week is Ash Wednesday but we will still meet in the youth center to start and end the night. Peace and blessings to you!
